Local aerodrome regulations

The Delivery/Tower Controller provides information about the initial climb, which is 6000 ft, except when other aircraft are expected over the LOZ VOR – the initial climb altitude should be coordinated with APP Warszawa.

Datalink clearances on Radom airport are not available.

Ground movement procedures

Startup clearance is issued by ŁÓDŹ DELIVERY.

Departing traffic does not require pushback. They taxi out of the stand after startup.

Aircraft DE-ICING

De-icing stand for aircraft is designated on stand 12. Is is available for aircraft ICAO Code A, B and C. De-icing of aircraft ICAO Code D might be carried out at parking stand.

VFR traffic

VFR flights in CTR Łódź are required to have a flight plan. VFR flights in the CTR EPLL should follow published VFR routes.

During periods of high air traffic intensity, an aircraft operating under VFR may, if necessary, be instructed to hold according to the appropriate procedure over the following points:

  • point NOVEMBER - to the north side of the aerodrome,
  • point SIERRA - to the south side of the aerodrome,
  • point BRAVO - to the south side of the aerodrome. All holdings must be performed at an altitude of 2000 ft AMSL, according to PANSA eAIP IFR AD 2 EPLL 2.22.2.6.

The standard (cruise) altitude for VFR traffic in the CTR EPLL is 1500 ft.

Low Visibility Procedures (LVP)

LVP operations will be commenced when any of the RVR falls below 550 m and/or the cloud ceiling falls below 200 ft. Pilots are informed about LVP being in operation via ATIS or by radio, with use of following phraseology: “Low visibility procedures in operation.”

At EPLL aerodrome LVP procedures are applicable only to Low Visibility Take Off (LVTO). LVP will be terminated when all of the RVR increase over 600 m and the cloud ceiling reaches 200 ft or more and a continuing improvement is anticipated.
