TMA Szczecin
Airspace characteristics
The TMA Szczecin airspace is controlled airspace of Class C. The TWR Szczecin provides procedural approach control for flights arriving at Szczecin airport. The TMA Szczecin Heringsdorf sector is controlled airspace of Class D from 1000 ft to FL95, and from FL95 to FL135, the airspace is of Class C.

Standard Operating Procedures
The TWR Szczecin controller is responsible for ensuring separation between aircraft following the rules outlined in this section.
Arrivals are initially descended by ACC Warszawa according to the LoA.
For NON-RNAV arrivals, where the aircraft is unable to perform RNAV 1 navigation accuracy, the crew should be authorized to fly directly over SCZ VOR and then receive non-standard approach instructions using Instrument Approach Procedures (IAP) for the runway in use.
RNAV arrivals to Szczecin (EPSC) airport have only one possible configuration (one STAR identifier) for each runway.
If adequate time-based separation cannot be achieved, it is recommended to use holding patterns along the STAR route, which are published over the following entry points from the FIR Warszawa: ZAWIK, ELTUB, OBDEJ.
Coordination with other ATC units
Airspace delegation to ACC Warszawa
The airspace of TMA Szczecin, upon the request of the TWR Szczecin controller and with the approval of the ACC Warszawa controller, can be temporarily delegated, or tasks related to air traffic control for individual aircraft may be delegated to ACC Warszawa.
The delegation takes place only when TWR Szczecin is online and grants permission/requests the ACC controller for this delegation.
In the delegated airspace, the ACC controller may use radar control.
The delegation cannot be lower than 5500 ft, as it is directly related to the radar range limitations used by ACC Warszawa.
The ACC Warszawa controller may use radar imagery to issue shortcuts to STAR points when the traffic situation allows, ensuring that the aircraft remains above 5500 ft while flying DCT. This provides an effective way to shorten routes to points such as SC529, SC532, SC533, and SC418.
Delegation of the airspace must be established individually with the appropriate ACC controller. The ACC controller may cancel the delegation at any time, ensuring that aircraft in TMA Szczecin remain procedurally separated.
